Several years ago, our sister site Design Dabblers offered a catalog of free Drupal themes.  After a server move or three (not to mention having neck and back surgery myself) this catalog of themes fell by the wayside.  A recently uncovered backup, unearthed all of these old themes and so, I decided to recreate this service.  Each theme will be updated and released as both a Drupal 6 and Drupal 7 theme. Unless life gets in the way again, there will be another new theme each week for the rest of 2013. Enjoy!

Content Type edits -- no problem. Created a new node -- no problem.  Adding node to the main menu threw an error, but it did not seem to be a game stopper ... unitl ... Attempting to promote the newly created node to the front page -- no dice.  The node refused to save and threw the following taxonomy related error:

Drupal 7 was delivered with CCK as part of core and the number and type of custom field options has inncreased in Drupal 8 -- Entity, Entity Referemce. Link and Telephone to name a few. Drupal 8 is an exciting upgrade and I am looking forward to experimenting with the upgrade path on my Drupal 7 sites. (It looks like it will go more smoothly than my D6=>D7 adventures.

lThe configuration settings for CKEditor can be found on the following path:.

Drupal 8 development has been moving forward rapidly and I finally decided that if I was any kind of Drupalista I should  -- at the very least -- have a working install.  Today I tasked myself with doing the said install.  I can't stress enough how happy I was with the install.  It went very smoothly.  I will try and note the main differences between D8 and D7 -- from an installation standpoinot.

Several projects have landed in our office that required special handliing of videos.  After trying just about every combination of modules in the Drupal Community, we were unable to find something "off the shelf".  We needed to be able to "process" videos and insert advertising into the beginiing of the videos and play them in a consistent size and player on the client's site.  ... The VIDEO module would do most of the heavy lifting, but it would require A LOT of server tweaking.

I started the process with extremely high hopes, checking for the modules that were available for D7 and disabling and uninstalling the modules that weren't.  So far, so good.  The update failed, and resulted in a corrupted database.
